Does the Board of Investment assist me in obtaining all my business permits and licences?

The Board of Investment will provide you with all the necessary information pertaining to your business activity and will guide you through the business-start up process. However, you have to undertake all other business formalities yourself (e.g company incorporation, applying for building permit, obtaining necessary clearances, etc). Most investors hire the services of a local consultant to do their work. In case you face any administrative hurdle, you may ask the BOI for assistance. BOI may liaise with the public authorities to find out why any process is being delayed.

Is there any fee payable to the Board of Investment for its services?

Fees are payable only for application of Occupation Permit, Residence Permit for Retired and Residence Permit under IRS. All other services of the Board of Investment are completely free of charge.
