surgical including syringes, gloves, blades, clamps, gauze sponges, sterile
packaging, bandages, disinfecting materials, test strips, stents, disposable
dishes, and many others.
• Mauritius has an impressive record in its manufacturing sector, with
preferential trade agreements (like SADC, COMESA, AGOA), thus generating
opportunities for the manufacture of surgical knives, forceps, chisels, gouges,
cauteries, blood glucose monitors, electronic and infrared thermometers,
resuscitators, blood transfusion sets, etc.
